The Questions
Please use these questions, along with the sciencehorizons discussion pack, cd-rom or website to structure your group's discussion about the stories in the theme you are discussing.
You do not have to discuss the stories in any particular order, but we would like you to discuss all four stories in the theme, so try and manage your time to allow you to do this.
Discussion tips: You may want to ask each person to give their views, and then see if the group can agree an answer to write on the reply form. If you cannot agree, please make a note on the reply form of the different points made.
The stories show just some of the ways new technology could be used in the future. When discussing the questions, you might like to think about other ways the technologies in the stories could be used, and give us your views.
Please discuss the following questions about all four stories and record your answers on the paper or online form:
What do you like about the technology in the story, and why?
Please list all the things people in the group like.
What do you dislike about the technology in the story, and why?
Please list all the things people in the group dislike.
Of the things you either like or dislike, which is the most important?
Try to agree as a group- if you cannot agree, please explain why.
Please discuss the general question:
What else would you like to say about the stories in this theme, or about the pack in general?
